Frequently asked questions.

  • Huna philosophy says, Kala, there are no limits. Ayurveda teaches that Nature is self-correcting, self-healing. Our bodies, minds and souls are part of Nature. When we support and sustain our inner balance, our beings harmonize with the natural world. In the natural world all works in harmony. Again, there are no limits. This is the understanding from which each session is given.

Receiving massage and energy work clears the mind-body so that inner guidance for needed change is heard and energy stores are full so you have the energy needed to take action on this guidance.

  • Some sessions create profound shifts— clients tell me their vision clears, chronic pain dissolves, they can hear birds again. Other sessions offer deep rest and nervous system regulation. Every session is guided by what your body needs. This work requires mutual respect and genuine readiness for change.

Oftentimes, this readiness becomes evident or conscious during your first session - how easily the tissue softens, breath deepens, mind eases. There’s a profound moment when your body recognizes safe, skillful touch and remembers its capacity for healing. This innate intelligence, rooted in nature’s wisdom of self-correction, often surprises clients who discover they are more ready for transformation than they realized.

  • Yes, and they can be combined with massage and thus with hands on the body. If you’re interested in receiving energy work only, you may let Kalalea know how you’d like it administered— hands on or off the body.

  • Please wear looser fitting, comfortable clothing with full coverage or appropriate to the season.

  • Absolutely not.
